The "Maison Safran" (Saffron House) was brought to life through the encounter of a very special spice, a beautiful location and a passion to achieve the perfect match-up between taste and well-being.
Gilles and Marion cultivate the Saffron and produce Saffron based preparations and aromatic medicinal plants. During your visit on the premises and on markets, you will be told all about the Saffron endemic cultivation and how it is produced, from growing the crocus sativus, through the extraction process, and into its various preparations. You can also learn about how this spice is used in cooking and its numerous medicinal virtues. The Maison Safran is committed to promoting a natural approach and offers you a great range of local products based on Saffron: syrup, jelly, and jam made from garden fruit, honey, vinegar, and fleur de sel (all-natural sea salt).
Spend some time to visit the medicinal herb garden and watch the presentation of the safranière displayed on the screen that shows you the development of the plant as the seasons go by and discover the historical, cultural, medicinal, economic context of the Saffron.
